They’ve been out-of-date for over a hundred years, but it’s good to see the cable cars back running again. I went over there this week to take advantage of the free cable car rides throughout all of August. Did you notice the similarities of the distant background of the fourth picture. What is that which looks like a boat, but has not moved since 1973?
That’s the C.A. Thayer schooner at Hyde Pier, built in 1895, Tony. I think it’s been tied up at Hyde Pier since 1963.
Dang! You would think that by now, it would have rotted and deteriorated! Now that you mention it, I had to look it up; and I recognize it.
