Bob Hope leaves his office in the Trafalgar Building on California Street Hot on the trail of Dorothy Lamour and Peter Lorre in the comedy ‘My Favorite Brunette’ from 1947. San Francisco Film Locations Then & Now 
This scene is located at approximately 739 California St. In the film Bob Hope’s office is in the Trafalgar Building. The building itself has been altered and turned in to what appears to be a parking garage.
Sure is, Mike. There isn’t a lot of information on the Trafalgar Building, but you can see it in some of the old pictures from the area. Also, some of the scenes were filmed inside the building, like a terrific scene of Bob Hope looking down to California Street from his office as Dorothy Lamour, followed by Peter Lorre pulls away from the building in her car and turns left onto Grant Avenue.
