This tinted 1851 daguerreotype was taken toward the Bay from where the Hills Brothers Coffee Building is now. Whose silhouette is in the photo? Was it a friend of the photographer, or a lady from the period, maybe? Was it added in later? I can’t find out. Below, is the same view today. Oh well, maybe someday people will wonder who the girl in my photo was! (Thumbnail image)
